Operation Guide

This guide covers basic hardware setup and power-on procedures for AI Sapiens.

How to Turn On and Off the Remote Controller

Use the power button in the center of the RadioMaster Pocket, below the screen.

Turn On the Remote Controller

  2. Keep holding until the controller powers off and the screen turns off.

How to Use the Physical Emergency Stop

AI Sapiens includes a physical emergency stop button attached to the robot. Use it to cut actuator power immediately when you need to stop the robot for safety.

For the remote controller E-STOP switches, see E-STOP Switch Guide.

Press the Emergency Stop

Press the red emergency stop button firmly until it latches.

When the button is pressed, the robot enters the emergency stop state and actuator power is cut.

Release the Emergency Stop

Release the emergency stop only after confirming that the robot and the surrounding area are safe.

  1. Twist the red emergency stop button clockwise in the direction of the RESET arrows.
  2. Allow the button to pop back out to the released position.

After the button is released, continue with the normal power-on and mode procedures before operating the robot.

How to Insert and Remove the Battery

The battery pack slides straight into the battery bay on the robot torso, next to the physical emergency stop button.

Keep the battery in the same orientation as shown in the video. Do not rotate or tilt it while inserting or removing it.

Power the robot off before removing the battery. Insert the battery only when you are ready to continue the power-on sequence.

Insert the Battery

  1. Match the battery orientation to the video: keep the recessed handles facing outward and do not rotate the pack.
  2. Align the battery with the bay, then slide it straight in until it seats fully.
  3. Confirm that the battery sits flush with the surrounding panel.

Remove the Battery

  1. Confirm that the robot is powered off.
  2. Grip the recessed handles on the battery pack.
  3. Pull the battery straight out. Do not twist or rotate it.
